By the time I was in my 30’s, I thought I would be up to my eye balls busy. Like many, cultural expectations and the media set my goals. I was following the standard way of life (i.e go to college, get a job, get married, buy a house, grow a family and so on). Well, that isn’t quite panning out. I was dwelling and without any plan other than the “wait and see” game.
Entering the new year with the same life as last year and the year before, I decided to write out 100 things I wanted or needed to do, anything and everything I could think of. I wanted to be busy. I wanted to get my mind onto other things. The more I worked on this challenge, the more I realized that this practice was effective and life changing. It forced me to think about all aspects of my life from small to big and beyond. I soon became a different person with accountability and purpose.
By the time I worked through a good part of my list, I recognized my natural desire for self-development. I spend my days sharing my story, building out this program and helping others with this exercise. Before I knew it, TSW site was born and it has been my passion since. I am no longer waiting. I now know what fulfillment feels like and I pursue it everyday.
I post blogs for inspiration and ideas especially for those creating their list. In addition, TSW social media captures my journey and where that’s taking me.
Use this effort for what you need whether it is to find purpose, passion, renewed energy or simply, for entertainment.
Note, this is not for everyone.
