TSW is a goal-oriented program. Each blog is pivoted around a goal(s) to help users identify the things they want to accomplish in their lives to build out their list.
#Negroniweek is coming and for most who know me well, know that is my signature beverage. You will find me scanning any bar I’m approaching for its 3 key ingredients. It’s like a scavenger hunt with the drink being the prize.
I always wanted to be passionate about something and be known for it. (This was before TSW) In my days as a super social college student and young professional, to me, drinks were a means to the party end. I never thought in my wildest days I would enjoy a beverage so much for the pure taste and not so much the side effect.
My friends associate me with this all the time. I’ll get texts or emails about anything related to Negronis. I’ve had cocktail menus sent to me. It’s a great conversation piece. I get asked questions as to why and where I discovered this. I will always thank you #ItalicAtx for that time I sat at your bar during Negroni Week in 2015. It opened a portal I didn’t know was there.
Some even ask me to show them how to make it while I’ve converted a few on the way. When I see a Negroni whisked past me on tray to a table, I perk up to see the fellow member of this secret club.
Having a signature anything is a nice twist to who you are. It’s your personal brand. People will know you for it like how people know me for TSW and my work behind that. Others may be known for a type of hat they wear, or a style.
Make it a point to create a signature element about yourself. It can be anything. You may already do and it’s waiting to be highlighted. Remember though, you must be passionate about it. Your signature is you on a good or bad day.
For those who are a little curious, here is the negroni history and my go to recipe:
Equal parts of the three:
1 part Campari, 1 part local #atx Gin and 1 part Carpano Antica Vermouth.
The Campari and Antica make the big difference.
Cheers and Happy Negroni!
‘Til Next, Elisa
